Potential Media Problems
Kavita will report any errors that arise during the scan or opening of a book for reading. However, some of the errors are more technical and you may need help decoding the underlying issue.
Here are the most common problems you will see on the Media Errors page.

| A local file header is corrupt. | The zip file is damaged and can't be opened. |
| Unknown Rar Header: ## | The rar file is damaged and can't be opened. |
| EPUB parsing error: 'nav' element in the navigation file does not contain a required 'ol' element. | You have an invalid table of contents or multiple nav elements in your table of contents file. |
| EPUB parsing error: 'li' element in the navigation file must contain either an 'a' element or a 'span' element. | The table of contents does not follow spec. Repack with Sigil or Calibre to fix. |
| End of central directory | Bad archive, repair or replace. |
| Incorrect EPUB navigation point: point ID is missing. | Bad internal metadata for the epub making it unable to be parsed. Use Sigil or Calibre to fix it. |
